01
Tell us what happened
Fill in the quote form with your device and the symptoms, or just call. We reply with an estimated range and a prepaid shipping label by email, usually the same business day.
-
02
Pack it and drop it off
Print the label, put the device in a padded box, and drop it at any carrier location. Packing guidance comes with the email. Leave out chargers and cases unless the fault involves them.
-
03
We diagnose and quote
We open the device on arrival, confirm the failure, and email you a fixed price. Nothing happens until you approve it in writing. If a recovery turns out to be impossible, you owe nothing.
-
04
We ship it back
Repairs come back with a 90-day warranty. Recovered data comes back on an encrypted USB drive that is yours to keep, or moved straight to a new device. Return shipping is in the quote.
What you can send us.

In-house, every job
Your device never leaves our bench.
Plenty of shops advertising mail-in service are middlemen who forward your device to a third party. We are the lab. Every board is diagnosed and repaired here, under our own microscopes, by the same technicians who answer the phone.
- Thermal imaging locates the failed component, no guesswork
- Micro-soldering and board repair done on site
- Your data is never browsed, copied, or shared
- Encrypted return drive on every recovery
- Stored in a locked shop, insured both directions
What it actually costs.
Mail-in is priced the same as walk-in. Shipping both ways is included in the figure we quote, so the number in the email is the number you pay.
Shipping questions, answered straight.
Who pays for shipping?
We email you a prepaid label, so there is nothing to pay at the counter. Return shipping is built into the quote you approve. If you decline a repair quote you cover return postage; on a no-data-no-fee recovery we return the device free.
Is my device insured while it's in transit?
Yes. Every label we issue is tracked and insured. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit the claim is ours to file, not yours. Keep your drop-off receipt until we confirm arrival by email.
How long does mail-in take?
Add roughly two to five business days of shipping each way depending on your province. Bench time matches walk-in: phones usually 24 to 72 hours, drives typically one to two weeks, RAID longer. We confirm a timeline with your quote.
How do I pack it so it survives the trip?
Use a rigid box with at least two inches of padding on every side. Wrap the device in an anti-static bag if you have one, or a plastic bag and bubble wrap if you don't. Never ship a hard drive loose in a padded envelope. Full instructions come with your label.
Do you ship to the United States?
Our prepaid label program covers addresses in Canada. We do take US and international cases, but you arrange and pay for inbound shipping and customs, and we quote return shipping separately. Email us first and we'll walk through it.
What if you can't fix or recover it?
On data recovery, no-data-no-fee means exactly that: no recovery, no charge, and the device comes back as we received it. On repairs, if we can't complete the job you pay return shipping only. We tell you before we start if we think the odds are poor.
Will you look at my files?
No. We verify that data is intact and readable, which means confirming file counts and that samples open. We do not browse, copy, or retain your data. Recovered files ship back on an encrypted drive and our working copies are wiped once you confirm receipt.
I'm in the GTA. Should I still mail it in?
Probably not. If you can reach Mississauga, walking in is faster and lets us look at the device with you. See our Mississauga page for directions and walk-in hours.
Ready to send it in?
Start the quote form and choose "Mail It In." We'll come back with a price range and a prepaid label.
