QEW or Lakeshore from Oakville — which is faster?
QEW is faster basically always — even with traffic. Lakeshore is only worth taking if you're in Old Oakville and want a scenic drive. From Bronte to our shop: QEW east 18 min, Lakeshore 32 min. From Glen Abbey: QEW 22 min, Lakeshore 38 min.
Do you serve Sheridan College students with cracked phones?
Yes — we see Sheridan students fairly often. Bring student ID for a $10 discount on phone repairs (any model). We're a 22-min Uber from the Trafalgar campus or a 25-min drive from Sheridan Hills/Iroquois Ridge area apartments.
I'd rather mail it in than drive — worth it from Oakville?
Honestly, no. From Oakville, the 18–28 min QEW drive is faster than mail-in (which adds 2–4 days each way). Walk-ins are also free vs the prepaid label which is technically free for you but adds 4–6 days to the timeline. Most Oakville clients drive over.
What about Bronte vs Old Oakville drive times?
Bronte is consistently faster — Bronte Rd north to QEW east is a clean drive without downtown lights. Old Oakville requires either Trafalgar (busy) or Cornwall through downtown lights. Bronte 18–22 min, Old Oakville 22–28 min, on a typical weekday.
Do you take MacBooks specifically?
Yes — Mac repair is a big part of our work. Display assembly, battery (Apple's recall ended in 2022, we do out-of-warranty), liquid damage, board-level repair. See our MacBook repair page for details. Most Oakville Mac clients prefer us over Apple Store because we'll work on out-of-warranty + give honest "not worth fixing" advice when relevant.
